Semporna was founded soon after the British North Borneo Chartered Company established Sandakan, and initially settled by Chinese traders, most fleeing from Spanish attacks on the Sulu Sultanate. Before being named “Semporna”, this area was known as “Tong Talun” in Bajau language which means “Hujung Hutan” in Malay or “at the end of the forest” in English. Panglima Uddang, Panglima Sallehangni and Panglima Sakti of Bajaus Kubangancestry were responsible for this name. The name gradually evolved to “Semporna” (known as “Peaceful Place”) over time. Semporna is also known for the Regatta Lepa traditional boat races which occur annually in April. Semporna was also the location of the finish line of Eco-Challenge: Borneo, held in 2000.
Off the coast is a marine park called Tun Sakaran Marine Park, also known as Semporna Islands Park. It was gazetted by Sabah Parks in 2004. Semporna is the gateway to diving in world-renowned island paradises like Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai, Mataking, Sibuan, Mantabuan, Siamil and Pom Pom among others. Visitors to Semporna are mainly sunseekers looking for relaxation or water sports activities such as scuba diving or snorkeling.
Mataking Island is a Malaysian island located in the Celebes Sea on the state of Sabah.Mataking Island is home to the first ‘Underwater Post Office’ in Malaysia and is connected to Pulau Mataking Kecil (Small Mataking Island) via a narrow sand bank. Mataking Island is a private island belonging to the Reef Dive Resort featuring luxury chalets and a dive center serving divers visiting Sipadan.
Pom-Pom Island is a newly found dive site and recently an amazing wall dive has been found. There were many hollows and holes to search in, filled with life including painted spiney lobsters and don't forget the beautiful nudibranch and gobies.
Timba-Timna Island is known for the wonderful beach great to look for rare marine life that includes large cuttlefish, frog fish, crab, sea snakes and sometimes nurse sharks hiding under table coral. White turtles can be seen in numbers other frequent sights include blue ribbon eels, moray eels, barracudas, lobster, large coral trout and snappers.

Register and gear up for an hour boat ride to Timba Timba Island. Upon arrival (ETA 09:30 hours) , You may walk around Timba Timba Island, take a memorable picture surrounding and enjoy the 1st Snorkelling session or Discover Scuba Diving DSD or Fun Dive.

- For DSD or Fun Dive Package - Tour is available for children 10 years old and above.
- For DSD or Fun Dive Package - Strictly No fly policy within 18 - 24 hours after the last dive.
- Infant below 3 years old is FOC, if there is an infant participating in the trip, please do remark upon placing booking.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Should you wish to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, we will collect 10% of tour fee as administrative fee; cancellation less than 7days will deduct 50% of tour fee; cancellation less than 3 days full cancellation charged. If the product relate with 3rd party service (Air Ticket, Accommodation, Mount Climbing & etc) will require to refer back to 3rd party Terms & Conditions & the company will still collect an extra 10% of tour fee as administrative fee.
Tour Type
Sit-In-Coach basis (SIC). This tour is not private tour, you will share the trip with other guests come from different countries. Please notify us upon booking if you are looking for private tour, surcharge might be applied.
Pickup Service
Pickup service will be provided from the hotel/hostel/lodge that you are staying. Please wait at lobby while the tour guide will find you when he/she arrive. Dropoff service will be provided after travelling, please notify us upon booking if your dropoff location is differ from pickup location.
