Mabul is a small island off the south-eastern coast of Sabah in Malaysia. The island has been a fishing village since the 1970s. In the 1990s, it first became popular to divers due to its proximity to Sipadan island. Located 15 km from Sipadan, this 20-hectare piece of land surfaces 2–3 metres above sea level, consists mostly flat grounds and aerial view is oval-shaped. Surrounding it are sandy beaches, perched on the northwest corner of a larger two-square-kilometre reef. Mabul island is administered as a part of Semporna, Tawau district.

Kapalai Island in Sabah, Malaysia is actually a large sandbar with a scenic resort built on stilts over the shallow crystal waters of the lagoon. It lies about 15 minutes by speedboat from the renowned Sipadan Island.

Mataking Island is a Malaysian island located in the Celebes Sea on the state of Sabah.Mataking Island is home to the first ‘Underwater Post Office’ in Malaysia and is connected to Pulau Mataking Kecil (Small Mataking Island) via a narrow sand bank. Mataking Island is a private island belonging to the Reef Dive Resort featuring luxury chalets and a dive center serving divers visiting Sipadan.

Pom-Pom Island is a newly found dive site and recently an amazing wall dive has been found. There were many hollows and holes to search in, filled with life including painted spiney lobsters and don't forget the beautiful nudibranch and gobies.

Timba-Timba Island is known for the wonderful beach great to look for rare marine life that includes large cuttlefish, frog fish, crab, sea snakes and sometimes nurse sharks hiding under table coral. White turtles can be seen in numbers other frequent sights include blue ribbon eels, moray eels, barracudas, lobster, large coral trout and snappers.

Timbun Mata Island ( Pulau Timbun Mata ) is an island belonging to Malaysia in the open to the Celebes Sea Darvel Bay. The island is located about 20 kilometers northwest of Semporna and is the largest island within the Darvel Bay. It is predominantly forested tight. Its maximum length is about 30.1 km, the maximum width of about 9.7 km. From the flat west coast it rises steadily to Mount Tannabalu, which is located approximately in the middle of the island. The 620 m high, cone- shaped mountain is an extinct volcano. A second summit - the 489 meter high Mount Sedungal - rises at the eastern end of the island. The island is separated by a narrow strait called Trusan Sigalong from the mainland.

• The tourism tax is RM10 per room per night and is charged to guest who are not Malaysian nationals or permanent residents holding a MyPR card. This tax will be collected upon check out.
