Mantanani Islands is a group of three isolated islands that boast of crystal clear blue waters filled with a myriad of marine life and white sandy beaches fringed by coconut palm trees, making it an excellent destination for snorkeling, scuba diving or island hopping. One of the main reasons that Mantanani Islands is popular for local and tourists alike is because of its picturesque scenery, cool breezes and serene environment. The sun also seems a lot prettier in Mantanani. After a whole day of diving, snorkelling or kayaking, sit back and feast your eyes on the gorgeous layers of orange hues penetrating the clouds as the sun sets. In the morning, nothing beats sitting on the jetty with your legs dangling over the water, watching the sun rising as gentle breeze caresses your skin and ruffles your hair. Be spellbound also by the magnificent view of Mount Kinabalu veiled in chiffon-like clouds and morning mist.
The journey to the island begins with about one and a half hour drive from Kota Kinabalu to ‘Kampung Kuala Abai Jetty’ off Kota Belud Town. From here on, a 60 minutes boat ride by speedboat to reach the little piece of heaven, the Island of Mantanani. At some point the boat ride can be very bumpy and this very much depends on the sea conditions itself.
Kid, Expecting mother, Elderly
- Free of charge for the kid who is below 3 years old. A staff will be assigned to look after your kid at the boat when you are snorkeling.
- Due to the unpredictable rough sea conditions, expecting mothers (especially during the early stage of pregnancy) is not suitable to join this tour.
- The road to Kota Belud jetty from KK is very hilly and curvy, the guest were not used to the elevation and winding roads might get dizzy.
Precautions
This tour might be cancelled due to bad weather condition especially in Monsoon Season (November ~ January, and June), the tour company will inform you if the trip has been cancelled by early morning before 7:00 am on traveling day. If so, you may contact us for immediate arrangement of other trips or simply tell us to postpone this tour to next available day.
Sometime the weather is fair and the tour keep going, there might be rough sea condition and choppy water, you probably will not feel comfortable. If the weather is not getting better, only ONE session of snorkeling will be conducted and will leave the island earlier than usual for safety reason.

- Requirement for the trip >> extra pocket money, insect repellent, sun-block lotion, change of clothes, towel, cap/hat, slipper.
- All timings are estimated and for reference purposes only, actual time may be vary depends on number of visitors, distance, season, weather and road conditions.
- Strictly No fly policy within 18 - 24 hours after the last dive.
- Does not accept visitors with special physical conditions: Pregnant Women, Heart Disease Patient/ Asthma Patient, Surgical/fracture injury patients who have not recovered, Senior citizens (over 65 years old) Or other similar symptoms which not suitable for island activities.
- You might get WET during the boat journey, so please be sure to pack and stow your belongings properly during the journey. Dry bags or raincoat for waterproofing are recommended.
- Please change your clothes at jetty before heading back to hotel if you get wet on the way back, changing room is ready to use at jetty.
- Two snorkeling activities, mask & snorkel are provided.
- Please let us know upon booking if you have dietary request, e.g. vegetarian.
- Liability Release Form MUST be signed and understood by the participant before the tour commences.
- Transportation surcharge : Outskirts Area Hotels / Homestay – RM30/pax.
- Age limit for diving is 18 years old and above.
- Child rate applies for children between 3 - 11 years old, Infant below 3 years old is FOC.
- Rates are subject to change without prior notice at the discretion of the government. （If Any )

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Should you wish to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, we will collect 10% of tour fee as administrative fee; cancellation less than 7days will deduct 50% of tour fee; cancellation less than 3 days full cancellation charged. If the product relate with 3rd party service (Air Ticket, Accommodation, Mount Climbing & etc) will require to refer back to 3rd party Terms & Conditions & the company will still collect an extra 10% of tour fee as administrative fee.
Tour Type
Sit-In-Coach basis (SIC). This tour is not private tour, you will share the trip with other guests come from different countries. Please notify us upon booking if you are looking for private tour, surcharge might be applied.
Pickup Service
Pickup service will be provided from the hotel/hostel/lodge that you are staying. Please wait at lobby while the tour guide will find you when he/she arrive. Dropoff service will be provided after travelling, please notify us upon booking if your dropoff location is differ from pickup location.
